Established in 1991, CMS is an independent professional forum engaged in research, policy advocacy, advisory services and programme evaluation. CMS is widely recognised for the rigorous study methodologies, innovative approaches to research initiatives and for credibility of its findings.
Over the past two decades, CMS has been engaged with a wide range of issues from social, environment and governance to use of communication technology for networking and service delivery. As CMS believes in pushing the frontiers of research, it has taken the lead in a number of unique initiatives including mechanisms for enforcing accountability in public services through the Citizens’ Charters, Social Audit, Annual Corruption Studies, etc.
For the application of knowledge, CMS has devised diverse tools in the domains of social research, communication studies, public opinion surveys, action research, training, evaluation and performance appraisal, monitoring development and tracking social change.
